This unique stay is powered entirely by solar energy.

Its structure is built from wooden beams, fully supported by the trunk of a living olive tree and a twin olive tree that had been uprooted years ago and left in the very spot where it stands today. It seems it had known its purpose for over 20 years.
We simply discovered it recently.
The walls are crafted from sifted earth, transformed into clay and combined with straw.
This traditional technique ensures excellent thermal insulation and moisture protection.
No artificial finishes have been used; instead, both the interior and exterior surfaces have been treated with egg white, providing natural waterproofing.

The project evolved organically.
There was no predefined plan.
The ideas took shape and were brought to life through a slow and demanding process.
For example: The balcony was conceived along the way, initially designed with access via a ladder.

The barrel-style seating reflects the character of a traditional wine-producing village.
Tropical plants (banana, avocado, papaya) blend harmoniously with Mediterranean trees (orange and lemon), all thriving in the unique climate of Crete.
